Route of the Week - Langney Point 

A challenging excursion around Langney Point is one of the routes that is occasionally used by our local Eastbourne Driving Test Centre examiners. Good observation and judgement at junctions is going to be key throughout this drive! From time to time, the examiners can adopt some variation in the final parts of the route back to the test centre.

Please find below your basic turn-by-turn guide for the first of several routes used in this area.

Route Length - Approx 9 miles

Time - 30-40 minutes

• Start Point - Eastbourne Driving Test Centre - Wartling Road
• Turn right out of car park onto Wartling Road
• At the end of the road turn right
• At the roundabout take the 5th exit right onto Royal Parade
• Take the 6th road right onto Beamsley Road
• At the traffic lights turn right onto Seaside
• Take the 3rd road right onto Beach Road
• Take the 5th road left onto Sidley Road
• At the end of the road turn right onto Channel View Road
• At the end of the road turn left onto Royal Parade
• At the roundabout take the 3rd exit following the road ahead onto Princes Road
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit following the road ahead onto Langney Rise
• At the roundabout take the 1st exit left onto B2104
• At the roundabout take the first exit left onto Willingdon Drove
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit right onto Milfoil Drive
• At the end of the road turn right onto Larkspur Drive
• At the end of the road turn right onto Friday Street
• Take the 3rd road left onto Pennine Way
• Take the 1st road right onto Mendip Avenue
• At the end of the road turn right onto Pennine Way
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit following the road ahead onto Priory Road
• Take the 2nd road left onto Netherfield Avenue
• Take the 3rd road right onto Telscombe Road
• Take the 1st road right onto Tanbridge Road
• At the end of the road turn left onto Pevensey Bay Road
• At the roundabout take the 3rd exit right onto Pevensey Bay Road
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit following the road ahead onto Pevensey Bay Road
• At the roundabout take the 1st exit left onto Princes Road
• Take the 1st road left onto Ramsay Way
• Take the 1st road right onto Cunningham Drive
• At the end of the road turn left onto Beatty Road
• At the end of the road turn right onto Ramsay Way
• At the end of the road turn right onto Prince William Parade
• At the roundabout take the 3rd exit following the road ahead and then the 1st road on the left onto Wartling Road
• Route completed
