Route of the Week - Cross Levels 



Cross Levels can be a somewhat challenging route and is frequently used by our local Eastbourne Driving Test Centre examiners. Incorporating many of Eastbourne's roundabouts, this route will certainly get you well practised with these often dreaded obstacles! From time to time, the examiners can adopt some variation in the Town Centre part of the route.

Please find below your basic turn-by-turn guide for the first of several routes used in this area.

Route Length - Approx 9 miles
Time - 30-40 minutes

Please do NOT park in the Eastbourne Driving Test Centre during their normal operating hours of between 8:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday, to ensure that you do not impede a candidate on their real driving test.

  • Start Point - Eastbourne Driving Test Centre - Wartling Road
  • Turn right out of car park onto Wartling Road
  • At the end of the road turn right
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit left onto Princes Road
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit left onto Langney Rise
  • Take the 1st road on the left onto Sevenoaks Road
  • Take the 11th turn on the right onto Kingfisher Drive
  • At the end of the road turn left onto Willingdon Drove
  • At the roundabout take the 1st exit following the road ahead Willingdon Drove
  • At the roundabout take the 1st exit following the road ahead onto Willingdon Drove
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit following the road ahead onto Willingdon Drove
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit following the road ahead onto Willingdon Drove
  • At the roundabout take the 1st exit left onto Lottbridge Drove
  • At the roundabout take the 3rd exit right onto Cross Levels Way
  • At the roundabout take the 1st exit following the road ahead onto Cross Levels Way
  • At the roundabout take the 1st exit following the road ahead onto Cross Levels Way
  • At the roundabout take the 1st exit left onto Kings Drive
  • Follow the road ahead onto Lewes Road
  • Take the 4th turn on the right onto Enys Road
  • Bear left onto Carew Road
  • At the end of the road turn left onto The Avenue
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit right onto Upper Avenue
  • Follow the road ahead onto Cavendish Place
  • At the traffic lights turn right onto Ashford Road
  • Bear left onto Susan’s Road
  • Bear right (4th turn) onto Pevensey Road
  • Follow the road ahead onto Lismore Road
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit and follow the road ahead onto Devonshire Place
  • At the end of the road turn left onto Grand Parade
  • Follow the road ahead onto Marine Parade
  • Follow the road ahead onto Royal Parade
  • Take the 4th turn on the left onto Beamsley Road
  • At the traffic lights turn right onto Seaside
  • Take the 3rd turn on the right onto Beach Road
  • Take the 3rd turn on the left onto Latimer Road
  • At the end of the road turn right onto Seaford Road
  • Take the 1st turn on the left onto Bexhill Road
  • At the end of the road turn right onto Channel View Road
  • At the end of the road turn left onto Royal Parade
  • At the roundabout take the 1st exit left and then take the 1st turn on the left onto Wartling Road
  • Route completed
